Why is web design so expensive?

LOL (yes, i txt). That is a loaded question, but one i get very often! Computers are so user-friendly these days; things seem to happen with just a point and click. What most people don't realize is some designer and coder worked hours, days, weeks and months to make those "point and clicks" possible! Web design is much the same way. It's many hours & days designing and coding everything to our customer's specs. Sure, there are online companies offering web design or graphics for a lot less; but most of them will be cookie-cutter and more difficult to work with than one may think. The old adage, "You get what you pay for," holds true in this sense. The cost can be somewhat of a chunk of change; however, you should always look at your website as a long-term investment.

What can I expect to pay for a website?

The website design packages vary in price. None of our website packages are priced below $650. If your budget is smaller, consider our pre-designed templates.

What other costs can I expect to incur with a website design?

With website design, you will have one or more of these additional costs: url/domain names ($10-15), hosting ($9/mo - $50/mo), shopping cart ($100-$350), security certificate ($75), and sometimes there are others. These will of course depend on the type of site you are having built. i usually include these line items and prices in your detailed estimate quote.

Do you charge by project or hourly?

Websites and Graphic Design work such as logos are normally charged by the project as a whole. Other services such as brochure design only for a new client would be hourly.

Are there available discounts of any kind?

Yes! Several. i offer service bundle packages. Non-profit and charity organizations are eligible for discounts with IRS certification. Existing customers get a percentage off for additional work. And pay-up-front discounts apply as well.

When will my project or work be completed?

Turnaround times vary depending on the type of work. Websites are generally 30-60 days. Social Network design is usually 15-30 days. Logo design is usually 7-10 days. In other words, there are different variables that factor into each project. i absolutely DO NOT rush; but i will work extremely hard to meet the determined deadline. i try to post turnaround times for your specific project online for you to view daily.

What if my estimate/quote includes a service I don't need?

That's fine. We'll need to email or talk personally, so you can inform me what you need and don't need. Then we'll redo your quote reflecting a new price. (NOTE: It helps to be very specific when filling out the online estimate request form.)

Can you build personalized pages for social media?

Yes, currently for Facebook®, Twitter®, Wordpress®, & Blogger®. However, i am willing to discuss other media sites if you are interested. (:-) smile... "experimental"/new stuff is usually done for discounted rate)

What if I don't like the design you submit for my site?

No worries. If you don't like the initial design (hint: i usually bust out with 3 or more variations), we'll talk again at length and revise it. i'll work until it's exactly what you want. NOTE: revision numbers within reasonable time constraints and limits.

Will you install a pre-purchased template or design from another vendor/designer?

It depends. Most often, the site you purchased the design template from specifies that they have to be the ones to install on your domain. If you had a graphic designer develop the template for you, but they don't install them, absolutely i can help.

Do you manage online ad campaigns for clients?

Not at this time.

What is Search Engine Optimization and do you offer that?

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is simply including concise and relevant titles and content on your web pages so that search engines (i.e. Google) will find your site quickly.
